What Community Experience Offer
Community Projects
Join practical projects that help improve shared spaces and support community priorities.
Activities may include painting, gardening, clean-up days, creating learning spaces, small repairs, resource organisation or community improvement projects. Each project is planned with local partners to make sure it is realistic, safe and genuinely useful.
Skill Sharing
Share useful professional, practical or creative skills with community groups, young people or women’s groups.
This may include business awareness, financial literacy, IT, leadership, employability, health awareness, crafts or other areas of experience. Lewka helps match volunteers and contributors with appropriate community-led opportunities.
School Support
Support learning alongside local schools and education partners through activities such as reading, creative learning, sports, career conversations and practical classroom sessions.
Lewka works with schools to ensure every activity is suitable, welcomed and aligned with local needs. The aim is to encourage confidence, curiosity and shared learning—not to replace teachers or existing school support.
Youth Skills & Mentoring
Encourage young people through mentoring, confidence-building and practical skills activities.
Participants may share career experiences, support communication and digital skills, explore entrepreneurship, or take part in group discussions about personal development and future opportunities. Activities are designed with local partners and may vary by age group, location and programme.
Food farming
Connect with Kenya’s food traditions, small-scale farming and sustainable growing practices.
Take part in activities such as visiting community gardens, learning about local crops, helping with planting or harvesting, sharing cooking knowledge and discussing food security. These experiences create opportunities to learn directly from farmers, growers and community members.
Culture & Heritage
Experience Kenya through its people, stories, creativity and everyday traditions.
Activities may include local cooking, crafts, music, dance, storytelling, markets and conversations with community members. Cultural experiences are designed to encourage respect, understanding and genuine connection while supporting local knowledge and creativity.
